Petranso welcomes new tugboats to the fleet

We are pleased to announce the addition of two tugboats to the Petrolera Transoceánica (Petranso) fleet. These are the tugboats Maras and Moray, which were built at the ASENAV shipyard in Chile. Both tugboats will initially be positioned in the Port of Callao. Both have been built with the latest technological advances, and have great manoeuvrability and power, specially designed for operations with ships in docks and buoys for manoeuvring in confined spaces.

Moray

The tugboat “Moray” was built in 2004 and has 47.70 tons of Bollard Pull and 22.8 meters length. She has two Caterpillar 3512B engines with 3,350 BHP. She also has two azimuthal axes, Schottel SRP 1010, which provide her with great manoeuvrability in all buoy operations.

Maras

The tugboat “Maras” was built in 2011 and has 62.10 tons of Bollard Pull and 25 meters length. She has two powerful Caterpillar 3516B engines with 4,894 BHP. She also has two azimuthal axes, Schottel SRO 1215, which provide her with great manoeuvrability in all port operations.
