Humboldt Shipmanagement includes crewing, technical and HSQE teams and is based in Viña del Mar, Chile. Humboldt administers a fleet of 18 ocean vessels and 28 tugs, AHTS vessels and pilot vessels. Our seafarers are close to 800 people and our offices ashore account for 100 more.
Humboldt Shipmanagement was founded back in 1990. It was the continuation of more than 35 years of previous know-how on ship owning activities, and in managing the fleet of a company founded earlier by Captain Albert von Appen. Today, Humboldt manages the fleet of Ultranav Chile, with operations ranging from transportation of crude oil, refined oil products, and chemicals, to dry bulk cargoes, containers and offshore services.
We provide technical and crew management services for about 50 owned vessels, including LPG/C,
tankers, dry cargo vessels and tug boats.
We provide professional advice, creativity, discretion and reliability through integrated solutions to sea and inland waterway transportation of crude oil and byproducts and offshore tugs.
Antares Naviera, Argentina
Antares Naviera offers maritime and fluvial transportation of crude oil and oil products, as well as oil terminal services. Long-term commercial relationships combined with high operational standards have enabled the company to achieve constant growth and to become the leader in the domestic market. As a company that has been doing business in Argentina for more the 100 years, Antares is no stranger to turbulent times. The extreme events of the past couple of years have given us even more reason to focus on our main purpose “to provide our customers with their energy needs even in times of extreme turmoil”.
The organisation is comprised by an experienced team of of more than 70 people ashore and more than 700 crew members distributed along its business units comprising crude oil and product tankers as well as AHTS vessels.
Naviera Transoceánica, Peru
Naviera Transoceánica S.A. (Navitranso) is a Peruvian shipping company that offers maritime transportation services for crude oil, products and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The company owns and operates its own fleet consisting of nine ships: five tankers and two LPG carriers in the Peruvian coastal trade and additionally one tanker and one LPG carrier, both in international trade.
The company is also involved in towing, salvage and port terminal services through its affiliated company, Petrolera Transoceánica (Petranso). These services are provided with a fleet of 15 tugboats, distributed in the main ports and terminals of the Peruvian Coast.
In addition, and to complement the maritime transport needs in Peru that cannot be covered with its own fleet, the company charters foreign-flagged ships for import, export and cabotage cargo.
Since 1993 the partnership established between Ultranav and Wiese Group in Peru, Navitranso serves the Peruvian market with high standards of quality, excellence and safety.
Today, Navitranso employs 61 people at its administrative headquarters in Peru, and more than 230 seafarers, thus being the leading company in the local market.
Through its related company, Naviera Petral S.A., Navitranso owns and operates a chemical tanker specialised in the transport of sulfuric acid providing a reliable and safe service to the mining industries in Peru and Chile.
