Liquid ammonia has a boiling point at -33ºC. 90% of ammonia production globally is used as a key component in the manufacturing of fertilizers to help sustain food production for billions of people around the world.

Base oils

Base and lube oils are a class of oil used to reduce friction, heat and wear between mechanical components that are in contact with each other. It is a fundamental in vehicles and machinery engine operation.

Biodiesel 

Biodiesel is a sustainable, clean-burning alternative to fossil diesel, and it is compatible with today’s diesel engines and energy distribution. The fuel is considered carbon-neutral as the vegetable crop absorbs the same amount of CO2 as it releases when combusted.

Building materials

Building materials include cement clinkers, slags and gypsum. Combined they become cement, which is a binding material used in building and civil engineering construction.

Clean Petroleum Products

Clean Petroleum Products (CPP) is an uncontaminated, refined petroleum product, such as benzene, kerosene, and gasoline, not previously used in any application.

Coal

Coal is one of the most important primary fossil fuels, a solid carbon-rich material that is mainly used for general electricity and production of steel.

Crude Oil

Crude oil is a naturally occurring oil found in the earth, crude oil is referred to as a non renewable energy source.

Ethane

Ethane is produced from gas processing and fractionation of shale gas and from liquid rich gas fields. Its chief use is as feedstock for ethylene production. Ethane is carried on specialised gas carriers capable of loading and maintaining the cargo at its boiling point of -88ºC.

Ethanol

Ethanol is an important industrial chemical, used as a solvent in the synthesis of other organic chemicals and as an additive to automotive gasoline. It is used as antiseptic, disinfectant, engine fuel, and it is also the intoxicating ingredient of many alcoholic beverages.

Forestry products

Forestry products can be used for several different purposes such as biofuel (wood pellets) and construction timber. Wood pellets and are generally made from compacted sawdust.

Grains & sugar

Grains and sugar are used for human and animal consumption providing food security for the world. Grains include barley, corn, maize, oats, rice, soya beans, wheat, etc. 

Inorganic chemicals

Inorganic chemicals are all chemicals produced in the lab or industrially, including sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid, caustic soda and ammonia. They are used as catalysts, pigments, coatings, surfactants, medicines, fuels and they are present in our everyday lives.

LPG

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a portable, clean and efficient energy source. LPG is primarily obtained from natural gas and oil production but is also produced increasingly from renewable sources; its unique properties make it a versatile energy source which can be used in many different applications.

Mineral/ores

Minerals is a naturally occurring solid, usually formed by inorganic processes. There are several thousand known mineral species, including bauxite, granite, limestone, sand, etc.

Molasses  

Molasses is a viscous byproduct made during the extraction of sugars from sugarcane and sugar beet. It is commonly used as sweetener and is considered to be a healthier substitute for refined sugar.

Petcoke

Petcoke is a byproduct created when refining oil. The majority of petcoke is used for energy generation in industries such as the cement industry.

Petrochemicals

Ethylene is the fundamental plastic building block in the chemical industry and is produced through steam cracking. It has a boiling point of -104 ºC. Our ethylene capable vessels are suited to carry this cargo.

Salt 

Salt is a mineral substance of great importance to human and animal health, and to industry. It is used for food seasoning, de-icing of highways and production of chemicals.

Vegetable oils

Vegetable oils are edible oils extracted from plants such as soybean, sunflower, olives, canola, corn, palm and coconut among others. In addition to their use in cooking and baking, they are found in processed foods like salad dressings, mayonnaise, margarine and cookies.

Harbour Towage

We provide round-the-clock harbour towage services in over 45 ports. With our versatile fleet, we assist berthing and unberthing maneuvers, in-port shifting, and vessel escorting. Our diverse clientele spans from small fishing vessels over ice breakers, navy frigates, container ships, bulk carriers, cruise ships, and RoRo vessels up to VLCCs.

Offshore

We offer maritime support services to oil and gas platforms and other offshore units with an owned fleet of 23 PSVs (platform supply vessels). The fleet is one of the largest and most modern fleets carrying the Brazilian flag.

Our ships are designed to provide services supporting the supply logistics of equipment, fluids and materials between operation bases and the offshore platforms along all Brazilian coasts.

Terminal Towage

Through long-term relationships with prestigious companies in the energy industry, we provide towage and maintenance services to specialised facilities such as LNG, Oil & Gas and monobouys terminals with dedicated equipment and highly skilled crew.

We have wide variety of equipment to be deployed in the prevention and clean-up of oil spills. Part of our fleet is equipped with skimmers, oil spill detection devices, contention barriers, dispersant spray systems, and state-of-the-art firefighting (FiFi1).

Magellan Strait Pilot Transfer

For more than 20 years, we have provided pilot transfer at both ends of the Strait of Magellan.

Inland Water Transportation

We operate pushers and barges through the Uruguay River, focusing on a wood transportation service with two pushers and four barges specially designed for this operation.
