LPG & Petchem Gases
Since its foundation, Ultranav has been involved in the transport of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) by sea. Ultranav started its ship owning activities in 1960 with the “Ultragas”, a 90 cbm gas carrier with an overall length of 23 m – probably the smallest vessel of its kind ever built.
In 2021, Ultranav became a major shareholder in Navigator Gas, which owns and operates a fleet of ethylene and semi-refrigerated gas carriers, with sizes ranging from 3,500 cbm to 35,000 cbm capacity. These vessels operate on a worldwide basis, mainly carrying LPG and petrochemical gases, such as ethylene, propylene, butadiene and VCM.
Navigator Gas operates in the semi-refrigerated ethylene handysize gas carrier segment building up the largest fleet and the best people to make gas transportation safe and reliable for our customers as possible; bringing expertise to our customers through our people, offering vessels that are highly flexible in transporting LPG, petrochemical cargoes such as ethylene, propylene and butadiene, as well as ammonia
We further streamline our oceangoing infrastructure with our on-shore ethylene export terminal enabling producers access to international markets and end-users the opportunity to diversify their sources of supply, improving the cost factors, robustness and reliability of the value chain.
More than logistics, our integrated solutions will take you further
